About 8 years ago I was involved in an internet relationship with a girl from Southern California. Weekends were spent traveling back and forth from The Central Valley to Orange County. I had a six disc changer in the car and Tenacious D was usually in it because I can belt out full volume and with rock god tenacity every lyric and note.

I miss those road trips. But I’m glad I got the girl to marry me.

When California came out I was starting my final year of college. I had discovered Mr. Bungle would be playing in Santa Cruz.

I ditched work and told them I had to take a test.

I got lost on the way to the show. Made it in the doors shortly before it started.

My only regret with seeing Mr. Bungle was that I went home after the show. Some friends of mine stayed and ended up spending the rest of the night hanging out with Patton and Co.
